Steve McQueen: one of the denim heroes in my book, just as he is in many others’ I guess. Have a look at some of his greatest denim outfits in this post. The picture above is by the way used for the cover of a great introductury book on the history of denim, which I have learned a lot from, called “Denim: From Cowboys to Catwalks”, written by Paul Trynka.
One of my favourite denim pictures of all times. McQueen dressed in leather boots, Levi’s jeans, and a Wrangler shirt, and with that goofy look on his face. Like the two pictures below, and the one above, it is from the movie ‘Baby, the Rain Must Fall’ from 1965.
