Now, the “Explore the Wonders and Mysteries of Denim“-event that we are co-hosting in Illum (Copenhagen) this weekend isn’t all over yet, but as I won’t be there today (Saturday) to hand out the questions for our G-Star RAW competition I’ve decided to put up the questions on the site for everybody to answer. Also, I know there are a lot of people who wouldn’t make it to the event either because they were busy, out of down or simply because they don’t live in Copenhagen or even Denmark and of course you shouldn’t be deprived this opportunity.
The three questions are as follows:
1. What year did Lee put zippers in jeans as one of the first companies in the history of denim? (hint: history of Lee)
2. When did Cone Mills in North Carolina start supplying Levi Strauss & Co. with denim for the 501 jeans?
3. What year was the G-Star RAW Elwood fit first introduced?
If you need any help answering the questions, all answers can be found here on the site. I’ve even made it easy for you and put up the articles in which you’ll find the answers in the sidebar to the right.
And what’s a Canadian suit anyway a couple of people have asked me. Well, the Canadians do like their denim and they like it in layers, so often you’ll see them use it almost like a suit or tuxedo. Like Neil Young in this photo:
