The Rebel’s Wardrobe International Release Party and Vintage Exhibition at Burg & Schild
Time flies. It’s been three months since we broke the news that our new book, The Rebel’s Wardrobe, had been released in Europe. We told you then that the book’s international release date would be coming in January, and that time is now upon us!
As of today—January 10, 2023—the book is officially available everywhere. This calls for a celebration!
The book’s international release date coincides almost perfectly with the crowd-drawing Fashion Week that takes place twice a year in our publisher’s home town, Berlin.
We wanted to make the release an event for the world of well-made and heritage clothiers, so we’ve partnered with Berlin-based retailer Burg & Schild. They definitely know how to throw a party, and we’re excited to turn the shop into a one-night-only celebration of clothes and culture.
The party will take place at Burg & Schild on Tuesday, January 17 from 6-10 pm.
As an add-on to the release party, the Burg & Schild team will be recreating some of history’s most iconic rebel-style moments in the store. Owner Kay Knipschild is taking the lead and putting together an exhibition of some of the key garments we’ve featured in the book. There’ll be a mixture of vintage pieces and new ones, and the exhibition promises to be unmissable.
Join us at Burg & Schild for drinks. You can feast your eyes on the exhibition and pick up a signed copy of the book. If you’ve already got a copy, bring it along. We’ll be happy to monograph it for you. See you in Berlin!
